Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has refused to rule out bid for £53million Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal.
The pair worked together at Juventus for three years between 2011 and 2014.
Chelsea secured a 2-0 victory over Brighton on Tuesday, but are 13 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Conte and Vidal won three Serie A titles
After at first declining to discuss a player playing for another club in his post-interview session, Conte did in the end uncover his contemplations on the Chile international.
‘I don’t talk about players from other clubs’ he said.
‘I should be straightforward, it’s wrong to discuss a player of another club. Particularly in the event that you want to sign this player.
‘Yet, Arturo is a fabulous player, I have an awesome regard for Arturo, and we spent Three years in Juventus together.
‘On the off chance that we go to war, I’d generally need him with me.’
Conte and Vidal won three Serie A titles together and the pair could work together again.
Vidal’s contract at Munich will end until 2019, but rather he has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Simply a month ago German magazine Kicker reported that Vidal could be sold by Bayern.
