Arda Turan joins Turkish side Basaksehir Istanbul side on a two and half year loan from Barcelona.

Turan, who was greeted at the Ataturk airport by club supporters letting off flares inside over the weekend, will wear the No 14 shirt.

‘The title race is essential both physically and profoundly,’ Turan said. ‘Step by step and match by coordinate, we will advance. We are the greatest hopeful of the title. Each match will be a last.
‘We trust that we will be champions. I trust we will win. I need to come back to Europe with progress with Basaksehir.’
Turan look set to make his debut on Wednesday against Giresunspor in the Turkish Cup round of 16.
