Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr follows his father foot step as he joins Juventus U-9

Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr has followed in his father’s footsteps by joining Juventus.

All eyes were on Ronaldo Jnr, 8, as he took part in his first session this week since joining the Bianconeri academy’s under-9 training camp.

According to Calciomercato, Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez was present to watch her son as the youngster played with the team alongside Andrea Barzagli’s son Mattia, who has been in the Juve set-up for a few years now.
Ronaldo has watched his son closely as he has developed his skills over the past few years and has posted several videos on social media of Jnr scoring screamers and displaying his ability.

The Portugal star will understandably be delighted Jnr now has the opportunity to hone his skills under the tutelage of one of the best academies in the world.

The Juventus forward, who moved to Italy from Real Madrid in a £100million move, admitted recently his dream would be to see his son emulate him by making it as a professional.

[Cristiano Jr] is very competitive, he’s like me when I was young,’ the Juventus star said in an interview with DAZN via SportingNews.

‘He doesn’t like to lose and he will be like me, I’m sure, 100 per cent.

‘I like to teach him some stuff, but he’s going to be whatever he wants and I’m always going to support him.

‘But of course I want Cristiano to be a football player, because I think he has that drive. He has a good body, he’s fast, he has skills, he shoots good.

But, as you know, he’s going to take his decision and he’s so young. I’m not going to put pressure on him, but of course I dream to see my boy a football player.’

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old has been working hard on the training pitch this week in an attempt to rediscover his goalscoring form, having yet to find the back of the net in his two games for Juventus.

Ronaldo’s next chance to grab a first goal in Italian football comes on September 1, when Juve travel to newly promoted Parma.
