Crystal Palace fans were delighted by the deadline-day signing of Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea.
The forward has joined on a loan deal which will keep him at Selhurst Park until the end of the season.
Batshuayi has spent the first half of this season on loan to Valencia, scoring three goals in 23 appearances.
The Belgian joined Chelsea from Marseille in July 2016, scoring 19 goals in 53 games as they won the Premier League title.
The 25-year-old was then loaned out to German side Borussia Dortmund during the 2017-18 campaign, scoring nine goals in 14 games.
Palace, via Twitter, welcomed Batshuayi by using a Batman themed GIF of Selhurst Park.
Palace fans also took to Twitter, using a series of Batman memes to greet the marksman nicknamed ‘Batsman.’
One Palace fan posted a short video of former manager Ian Holloway celebrating ecstatically, while another tweeted: ‘Batsman is an eagle…bless up.’
Batshuayi embraced the messages he received from the Palace faithful, tweeting: ‘Dear @CPFC fans: I. CAN’T. WAIT.’
