Official: Wolves sign Patrick Cutrone from AC-Milan for €17m

Wolves have completed a £17 million deal for Patrick Cutrone from AC Milan, with the striker becoming the second new arrival at Molineux this summer.

The Midlands club unveiled Real Madrid youngster Jesus Vallejo on a season-long loan last week and have followed it up with the capture of Cutrone.

The 21-year-old scored 27 goals in 90 appearances for Milan and has a solitary international appearance to his name after making his Italy bow in 2018.

Cutrone’s arrival will add depth to the club’s attacking options as they compete in the Europa League this season and he says he can’t wait to get started at his new club.

‘I’m very pleased to be here because the club really wanted me,’ he told the club’s official website. ‘I’m very happy and want to give my all for the team. ‘The club really wanted me and being able to play in the Premier League for Wolves is fantastic.

I just can’t wait to get started.’ Cutrone has already set his sights on nailing down a first team slot under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo and says he is keen to improve his game.

‘I’ve come here to play football. I’ll have to settle in initially and I’m looking forward to heading out on to the pitch to play.

‘You never stop learning and I’m here to learn new things, but I’ll certainly give my all for the team.’
