Czech Republic progress to the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 after an impressive 2-0 victory over the Netherlands.
It was goalless at the break, but the game changed when De Ligt was sent off on 55 minutes, after he handled the ball on the edge of the box and denied Schick a goalscoring opportunity.
The referee initially only showed a yellow card, but VAR intervened, and the centre-back was shown a straight red.
The Czech Republic then pushed forward in numbers and got their reward 13 minutes later, when Holes fired them ahead following a set piece.
Schick then scored his fourth of the tournament to double their lead and clinch the win.
The Netherlands just couldn’t get forward to test their opponents after the sending off and the Czech Republic just kept pushing and eventually got their reward.
They will face Denmark in the quarter-finals on Saturday, after they beat Wales yesterday.
