Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao finally ‘agree to blockbuster fight in Saudi Arabia’

Amir Khan has finally been granted his wish of facing Manny Pacquiao after the Bolton-born fighter revealed that they are set to face each other later this year.

Khan, who has just come off a £7million payday after beating Billy Dib last week, revealed at a press conference at his gym on Tuesday that the blockbuster fight will take place in Saudi Arabia.

According to talkSPORT, both fighters have both signed on the dotted line with the bout set to take place on November 8.

After claiming the WBC international welterweight title in Saudi Arabia last Saturday, Khan made it clear who he wanted to face next.

Speaking to talkSPORT after the fight, Khan said: ‘We want the Manny Pacquiao fight, let’s hope he comes to Saudi Arabia.

‘Hopefully we come back again at the end of the year and bring Manny Pacquiao here. ‘I felt very comfortable there. Obviously having a new trainer, Bones Adams.

‘We had to work on a strategy, I slowed myself down a little bit instead of rushing all the time.

‘I was seeing everything, making sure I was putting in the right shots, I felt very comfortable in there.

‘ Pacquiao will take on Keith Thurman for the WBA (super) welterweight title this weekend.

It will be the 40-year-old’s 71st professional fight and now looks to be lined up for his 72nd bout com toe the end of the year.
