Chelsea announce that defender Andreas Christensen has penned a new four-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2022.
The Dane, who joined the club from his boy hood club Bronby in 2012, has been hailed as the ‘best surprise’ by manager Antonio Conte since busting onto the Blues scene this season.
Christensen has become an important member of the first team squad this season, making 22 appearances in all competitions as part of the coach back three formation.
The 21-year-old landed at Stamford Bridge as a 17-year-old and spent two seasons on loan with Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach, however in the wake of penning his new contract, is presently just centered around what’s to come.
