It is time now’: Arjen Robben announces he will leave Bayern Munich after 10 years at the club

Arjen Robben confirmed that he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season after 10 years at the club.

Robben, 34, joined the Bavarians in 2009 from Real Madrid, and went on to appear 305 times and score 143 goals.

He has won seven Bundesliga titles, four DFB-Pokal trophies and the Champions League in 2013.

Robben told Omnisport: ‘It’s my last year at Bayern.

‘It has been 10 beautiful years. But it’s time [to leave] now.’

Robben may be followed out of the door by Franck Ribery, with the 35-year-old Frenchman’s contract also due to run out in the summer.

This news comes amid a transitional season for Bayern Munich under coach Niko Kovac.

The club are currently nine points behind league leaders Borussia Dortmund after 13 games, although they have qualified comfortably to the Champions League knockout phase.
