Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed Kevin De Bruyne will not be fit to face Wolves on Sunday.
The Belgium international missed the midweek Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb due to a groin injury. ‘He is not fit,’ said Guardiola. ‘After the international break he will be ready.
‘It is not a big problem.’
Guardiola, meanwhile, also gave his backing to Kyle Walker, who was once again omitted from the England squad by national boss Gareth Southgate. ‘Gareth does what he thinks is best for England,’ he said. ‘For Kyle it is a big challenge to show how good he is. He remains an incredible full-back.’
On the fitness of John Stones, the Spanish coach added: ‘Hopefully after the international break he will be ready.’
