Nice allow Lamine Diaby-Fadiga to join Ligue 2 side Paris FC for free after teenager admitted STEALING team-mate Kasper Dolberg’s £62,000 watch

Teenager Lamine Diaby-Fadiga will be joining Paris FC in Ligue 2 after admitting to stealing his Nice team-mate Kasper Dolberg’s watch, according to L’Equipe.

Dolberg was furious when his luxury timepiece went missing on September 16 and took his complaint to the police. Nice terminated Diaby-Fadiga’s contract after he admitted taking the watch internally last week, which is said to be worth £62,000.

The 18-year-old has since apologised to Dolberg and agreed to reimburse him the money. Plus, Nice and Dolberg are expected to drop the criminal investigation into the matter.

One of the most promising prospects to come out of the academy in recent years, he will now be leaving his boyhood side under a dark cloud.

The teenager had been at the club for the entirety of his fledgling career since the age of 13 and represented France at U16, U17 and U18 levels. Diaby-Fadiga made his debut at the tender age of 16 and was one of a number of high-quality young players at Nice, of which Dolberg is another.

Britain’s richest man Jim Ratliffe took over the club in August and immediately splashed some of his £21bn on new players, including Dolberg.
